Welcome to VizItPhilly
Hello and welcome to the new Philadelphia data visualization online community, VizItPhilly! The group VizItPhilly is dedicated to strengthening the data viz community in Philly. Philly is home to incredible data viz talent, and we are extremely excited to build a network where local data viz enthusiasts can discuss various data viz topics and learn from each other.
Below are some of the key features you will find on the website.
Create your own profile on VizItPhilly. Create a bio highlighting your passions in data viz, and link out to your amazing work on Tableau Public and your blog (if applicable). Note, your profile will not show up on the members page until you add a profile picture. To update your name, click the settings gear in your profile and choose my account.
We are very excited the forum feature on VizItPhilly. The forum is a space for you to share your thoughts and perspective on hot topics in data viz. The forum is also a space for you to share ideas for upcoming tableau user group meetings, and provide feedback on previous meetings– What did you like? What do you think we can skip next time?
The blog page on VizItPhilly is filled with local Philly bloggers. Use this section as your single destination to hear what some of the Philly data viz thought leaders are talking about on their blogs. Do you blog about Tableau or data viz? If so, let’s get your blog added to our RSS feed– shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org with your blog info.
As mentioned in the discussion board section, our hope is this site will make our Tableau User Group (TUG) meetings even better. We want this section of the site to compliment the TUG meetings and serve as a way to keep the discussions going! Here, we will highlight some of the fun from our latest meetings. This section will also keep you informed of upcoming meetings and events in the area.
We hope you are as excited as we are to grow the Philly data viz community. We will also be tracking the #VizItPhilly hashtag on Twitter, so when you share new content on Twitter, be sure to use the hashtag!
We look forward to hearing from you on the site. Please let us know if you have any feedback or ideas for new features.
Thanks for reading!
